Cinque Torri – Averau – Nuvolau
An iconic hike through history and breathtaking landscapes
One of the most spectacular and accessible hikes in the Dolomites, this journey takes you through the legendary Cinque Torri, a paradise for climbers and hikers alike. The adventure starts from Bai de Dones, where a chairlift brings you up to Rifugio Scoiattoli, the perfect spot to admire the stunning rock formations.
What to expect:
• A scenic loop around the Cinque Torri, with stops at restored World War I trenches, where you can step back in time and experience history firsthand.
• A gentle yet rewarding hike up to Rifugio Averau and then onto Rifugio Nuvolau, the oldest mountain hut in the Ampezzo Basin, perched at 2,575m with jaw-dropping 360° views of the surrounding peaks.
