The district of San Polo sees the Rialto area as its main protagonist, with its famous bridge and daily open-air fruit, vegetable, and fish markets (No Sunday and Monday), full of colors and fragrances; a historical Venetian landmark, full of life and charm, where you can meet many Venetians out shopping for groceries. Walking past Campo San Polo you reach the Basilica dei Frari, a magnificent church with a large rose window on the front façade, surrounded by many artisan boutiques and pastry shops where you can have delicious breakfasts.
