The Red House Company was founded in Venice in 2009, capitalizing on the managerial experience of Caroline Gucchierato and Marco Malafante. “Casa Rossa” is the name of the first property that was managed as a tourist rental. After years of steady growth and development, the company now manages more than 50 high-end properties. The company’s objective is to enhance real-estate investments in Venice, offering new standards of service to visitors. To achieve this objective, The Red House Company has focused on the combined development of technology and corporate work culture, with a steady investment in research and a regular update of staff training. Caroline Gucchierato comes from the world of associations. At the age of 28, she became the youngest female executive of Confindustria in the history of the confederation. She subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University. Marco Malafante instead worked in the management of the sales departments of international companies, even holding the role of Country Manager and Executive Board Member for Bell Microproducts.
In 2014, having managed dozens of different houses, Marco decided to take part in international fairs in this sector, which was and still is increasingly affected by technological development. Thanks to this intuition, The Red House Company came in contact with a community of more than 6000 American and European companies operating in this market, finding an international meeting ground that has led the company to invest in technologically advanced products.

Indeed, since 2014, The Red House Company has become the most technologically advanced tourist rental company in Italy. Its goal is to always set new technological and quality standards to offer both homeowners and guests a unique experience capable of providing security in terms of the management of properties and in terms of choosing Red House for one’s estate and one’s holiday. However, this does not take away the human approach in both of the company’s business propositions. We require technology for our work and to help our customers stay updated on the various developments of their properties, or clarify the conditions and management of the properties themselves. Technology helps manage everyone’s expectations and make each member of our team more costeffective. Adding value and not dehumanizing relationships is a Red House must.

In recent years, the company has grown further, as has the number of loyal customers, enthusiastic of the increased offer and service quality. Red House has different types of guests: From young traveling couples and families of all sizes (from 3 to 16 members), to people combining their work needs with the enjoyment of a unique context, as well as visiting professors and expert curators of exhibitions and pavilions of the Biennale. The number of people who turn to Caroline and Marco for proper welcome and hospitality for visiting artists and operators in the art world is indeed increasing. For the same reason, Red House Company also has many loyal business customers: Companies are in fact used to working with somebody who is an expert in the international language of “Business-to-Business.” A company profile that is as rare as it is praised in the world of the Venetian tourism industry.
